CBSE Result 2019: In 2010, Nidhi Kannaujia, the daughter of a washerman, who started off at Prerna Girls’ School was transferred to Study Hall Educational Foundation by Dr. Urvashi Sahni, president, and CEO due to her exceptionally high scores.
Nidhi has sustained the faith her teachers had in her by securing 95 percent in her class 12 CBSE board examination. She has also been selected for the Vahani Scholarship which will pay all her educational expenses.
Nidhi who is born and brought up in Lucknow belongs to a small village called Harakh near Barabanki. Her father had migrated to Lucknow nearly 20 years ago in search of a job. Nidhi belongs to an economically and socially backward section which is one of the main reasons that made her focus more and be more dedicated towards her goals.
She said that she has seen her family situation and always wanted to change this scenario. She wishes to be an independent, strong and confident woman who could be the agent of change in society and help the needy.
Out of the many challenges she faced, adjusting herself to Study Hall was one of the biggest, since the medium of study changed from Hindi to English.
Both of her sisters were married when they were in class 10, which ended their schooling and affected their lives in many different ways. Speaking about the importance of being educated Nidhi added that she has seen her sisters struggling which was one factor which helped her to realize the importance of education and the drawbacks of early marriage. She wanted to avoid all these problems and the only solution to this was a good education, she added
Talking about her aspirations, Nidhi said that she wanted to serve the nation. Her primary aim is to crack the UPSC examination and become an IAS officer. At present Nidhi aims to secure an admission in Delhi University.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
