Live Delhi Assembly Election Result 2020 News: With AAP headed for an emphatic win in Delhi Elections 2020, Arivind Kejriwal is all set to return as Delhi CM for the third term. The man of the hour took the centre stage at AAP HQ and addressed his supporters, thanking them for giving him a clear mandate. He also congratulated Delhi for the amazing win and thanked all the voters. In the celebratory speech, he said that this is not merely a victory for Aam Aadmi Party, but instead is a win for Delhi and Bharat Mata. He said Delhi has scripted history and begun the era of Developmental Politics in the country.

As per the latest trends, AAP is slated to come back to power with 62 seats, whereas BJP, after making initial gains during morning hours, was restricted to only 8 seats. Congress has been mere spectator in Delhi Election 2020 and failed to open its account today. Despite a few closely fought contests, including that of Manish Sisodia’s Patparganj seat, Atishi from Kalaji seat and Amanatullah Khan from Okhla seat; AAP has managed to script a convincing win.

    Kejriwal thanks People of Delhi.

    Arvind Kejriwal – the man of the hour, finally addressed voters of Delhi in a press conference. In his address, he thanked voters of Delhi for giving another mandate to their "son". He went on to add that AAP’s victory in Delhi Assembly Election Results 2020 is a win for Delhi and for Bharat Mata as well. He said Delhi has shown the way to the entire country and marked the dawn of new era of politics i.e. politics of work. He finally said that “We will all work together for the development of Delhi”.

    Finally, after 7 hours of counting, BJP President JP Nadda has conceded defeat against AAP. Nadda congratulates Kejriwal, hopes AAP will work for all-round development of Delhi. After making initial gains, BJP’s lead has been restricted to only 7 seats.

    15000 Police Personnel at Counting Centres

    To avoid any untowardly incident, Delhi Police has deployed over 15000 police personnel at Counting Centres designated across the Delhi city.     Delhi Police Issues Advisory

    With the counting of votes to commence at 8 AM, Delhi Traffic Police has issued advisory for Delhites to steer clear of few roads where security has been beefed up for the Delhi Election Result 2019. The advisory says, “Traffic movement will remain closed on Muni Maya Ram Marg near Guru Nanak Dev Institute of Technology (both carriageways) due to vote counting today.” Also, “Traffic movement will remain closed on Road number 224 Dwarka from sector 7/9 crossing towards sector 9/10 crossing due to counting.”
