Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is scheduled to conduct the class 12 Geography examination on June 8, 2020. According to reports, the board has also decided to set up 303 examination centres for the 4,400 students which include the students from the State Open School students.
The Board officials fixed the examination dates for the class 12 students after the guidelines for the fifth phase of the lockdown was announced by the central government. As per media reports, the HP board Chairman Suresh Soni has stated that the students who went back to their respective hometowns after the lockdown was first announced have been given the choice to appear for the examinations at the nearest examination centres following the rules including sanitization, social distancing and wearing masks.
It must however be noted that the exams for the subjects such as Computer Science, Yoga, and Vocational subjects will not be conducted but instead the marks will be given objectively on the basis of the marks obtained in the compulsory subjects.

The chairman has however also added that although the class 12 results are declared first, the class 10 exams will be declared earlier given the current COVID-19 situation.
The board began the evaluation process for the class 10 and 12 examinations began in the first week of May 2020. Close to 6000 teachers were given the answer sheets to be evaluated at home which were asked to be returned within 10 days.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
