The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations will be sharing the internal marking option from today onwards. The decision has been made as per the Bombay High Court order in which the court asked the board to present the alternative grading system for the students who do not choose to appear for the pending board examination.
The board examinations were postponed by the board due to the COVID-19 lockdown imposed in the country. The board now plans to conduct the remaining class 10 examinations in July.
The board has also extended the last date for candidates to choose between appearing for the exams or get the results based on the pre-boards. The last date for students to make a choice is June 24, 2020.
The ICSE Board examinations are scheduled to be conducted in July 2020. The examinations are scheduled to be conducted from July 1, 2020, for the class 12 students while the class 10 examinations are to begin from July 2, 2020. An official notification regarding the same was released on the official website on June 15, 2020, wherein students were provided with the option to either appear for the exams or get the results based on the pre-boards. The students of the board have however complained that the board was forcing the students to appear for the remaining examinations.
On June 18, 2020, the Bombay High Court directed the ICSE board to come up with an alternative plan for grading the students. The court stated that the board has to specify the methodology for approval and once approved all the students and parents will be able to make a decision on the board examination.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
