Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 2020 Update: The Pre University Education Department of Karnataka Government has launched a dedicated helpline for outstation students who are due to appear for the Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 2020 English paper. Students can call this helpline to seek assistance with regards to appearing for the pending English Exam paper for 2nd PUC Exam 2020. As per the date provided by PUE Department, the one pending paper for 2nd PUC Exam 2020 of Karnataka Board is scheduled to be held on 18th June 2020. The helpline launched today will help outstation students from seeking assistance from the board with regards to how to appear for the exam.

Outstation Students to Appear at Nearest Exam Centre in Karnataka

With sole paper of English Subject still pending for completion of Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 2020, many students who have moved away from their residence in Karnataka to home towns outsides the state are now facing challenge about appearing for the pending paper. As per the announcement made by Karnataka Education Minister S Suresh Kumar, such outstation students will be allowed to appear for the pending examination at an exam centre nearest to their home town within Karnataka state borders. This decision is expected to help many students who are from district that form the state border such as Kerala’s Kasaragod district which borders DK district in Karnataka. State government plans to run special buses to ferry such students to and from border areas to the examination centres.

Students from Residential Schools allowed Exam Change

Another set of students, who have been adversely affected by postponement of English paper has been the students who were residing in department hostels and children of migrant labourers, who had return to their hometown due to the lockdown. Such students have also been provided the option to appear for the pending exam at an exam centre nearest to their current residence / location. So far, a total of 16229 students have applied for change in exam centre due to such issues. DUPE is now arranging exam centres to accommodate these additional students who have demanded change in exam centres due to lockdown.
