Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 Not Cancelled: Amid raging rumours about cancellation of SSLC Exam 2020 of Karnataka Board, the state primary education minister S Suresh Kumar has refuted these reports as fake news and said that 10th Class Board Exam has not been cancelled. The clarification from state education minister came after several students and parents reached out to the board regarding the rumours which claimed cancellation of the Karnataka 10th Exam 2020 due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic and lockdown. Apart from this, education minister also added that thefinal decision about Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 dates will be taken by 3rd May 2020. He urged students, parents and media organizations to steer clear of the rumours and do not believe any misleading information about SSLC Exams 2020.
While interacting with media persons, State Primary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said that he decided to issue clarification on SSLC Exam 2020 not being cancelled after several students and parents reached out to him. These students and parents claimed that several rumours are going on in social media which suggest that Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 will be cancelled. He said that no such decision has been taken by the State Education Department or the KSEEB Board Yet. He also said that in his interactions, students urged the minister not to cancel the 10th Board Exam as they had studied hard and prepared well for the examination.
Over 8 lakh students from 10th Class are waiting to appear for SSLC Exam 2020. The exams were slated to commence from 27th March 2020 but since then have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic in the country. Postponement in Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 and in the declaration of results thereafter are expected to have a cascading effect on college and pre-university admission. Apart from SSLC Exam, even 1 paper of 2nd PUC Exam for 12th Class Students is pending, which will have to be held only after lockdown is lifted on 3rd May 2020.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
