Kerala SSLC and Plus Two Exam 2020 to be conducted as per Schedule: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan conducted a press conference on Wednesday regarding the SSLC and Plus two examinations. The state government had earlier decided that the Class 10 and 12 Kerala Board examinations will be conducted from May 26 to 30, 2020. Earlier, the Chief Ministers Office released the notification that the examinations which were scheduled to be held in May have been postponed as there were some issues in conducting the examinations due to a delay in getting the central government approval.however, now, the state will be conducting the examination as per schedule.
As per the press conference conducted, the students will be allowed to enter the examination hall after using hand sanitizers and wearing a mask. The seating arrangements will also be done considering the social distancing rules.
The Kerala SSLC Exam 2020 and Plus Two / HSE Exams for 12th Class students were delayed since March 2020 due to the sudden outbreak of Coronavirus in the country. The decision to postpone the exam was taken by the state cabinet in a meeting on Wednesday following the extension in the nationwide lockdown until 31st May 2020.
While the exams have been postponed, for now, the Kerala Government has also directed DHSE Kerala to enable the exam change option for students who are enrolled in residential schools and educational institutions due to COVID-19 crisis. Kerala Board has enabled this option for students who seek change in exam centre on the inter-district basis only.
