Board Examination 2021: The Maharashtra Government has decided to write to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and other boards - IB and Cambridge boards to revise their exam dates. The statement comes after the School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad postponed the class 10th and 12th board exams in the state due to the rapid spike in COVID-19 cases in the state.

As per the School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, "We'll also be writing to the CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge boards, requesting them to reconsider their exams dates.” She also informed that the state government had been thinking about replacing the state board exams with internal assignments. However, the board exams will be conducted later, after analysing the COVID-19 situation.

The new dates of the Maharashtra state board have not yet released. "Keeping in mind the schedule of entrance exams for professional courses, class 12th exams will be held by end of May, while 10th standard exams will be in June.
