MP Board Exam 2020 Update: As per the latest media reports, MP Government has decided to cancel all the pending exams of 10th Class students while starting or resuming MP Board 12th Exam 2020 from 8th June 2020. The decision was announced by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as mentioned in a new report published by Times of India. The report claims that MPBSE will not be holding the pending papers for MP Board 10th Exam 2020 for secondary class students. The decision to cancel the exam has been taken considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state and the delay that has already been caused due to it. On similar lines, the MP Board will be holding the Senior Secondary Exam 2020 for 12th Class students from 8th June 2020 onwards. The 12th Class Exam will commence on 8th June and conclude by 16th June 2020.

Class 10 Merit List based on Already Held Exams

Providing further details about the cancelled exams, MP Chief Minister said that the MP Board 10th Result 2020 and the Class 10 Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the score that the students achieve the exams that were held in March 2020. The MP Board 10th Class Exam 2020 cancellation come following demand from teachers from MPBSE for the same. In mid-April, several school teachers from MP Board had reached out to the MPBSE and the Government requesting them to cancel the remaining MP Board High School and Higher Secondary exams 2020. However, instead of cancellation of exam for both the classes, MP Board has decided to cancel exams only for 10th Class students.

5th, 8th Class Exams Cancelled Already

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in the country and following lockdown announced by the government, MP Government has also taken several steps to ensure safety and well-being of the students. As part of this, the state government decided to suspend the state-level exams for 5th and 8th Class students and instead promoted all students in non-board classes to the next grade without holding the exams. On similar lines, the government has also directed private schools to only charge tuition fee from parents for the lockdown period.  Currently, the evaluation work also for MP Board Exam 2020 has been put on hold due to the lockdown in the state.
