TN Board class 12 examinations: The Tamil Nadu state government has announced its decision to postpone the TN Board class 12 examinations. The government has issued an order for a complete lockdown in the state every Sunday while a night curfew will be initiated from April 20, 2021, onwards from 10 PM to 4 AM. The decision was announced after a review meeting was conducted by the Tamil Nadu state Chief Minister K Palaniswami to help prevent the increase in the spread of the virus.
According to an official statement released by the government, although the Tamil Nadu board class 12 examinations have been postponed, the practical examinations of the students will be conducted as per schedule. The government has earlier planned to conduct the TN Board class 12 exams from May 3 to 21, 2021.
During the night curfew, private and public transportation which include taxis and autos will not be allowed. Visits to beaches, zoos, and tourist destinations like Nilgiris and Kodaikalnl have also been barred.
According to media reports, the Tamil Nadu state government has decided to cancel the TN Class 10 examinations for the students. The decision to cancel the exams has been taken considering the safety and health of the students and the rising COVID-19 cases. In a recent tweet quoting the Tamil Nadu Health Secretary, it has been stated that the TN Class 10 exams have been cancelled to prevent the congregation of students. The tweet further reads that 14 schools in Thanjavur district have reported COVID-19 infection and the government is focusing on micro-containment and cancellation of nonessential activities.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
