The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has released an official notification that confirms the delay of the scheduled class 12th board examinations.
The Tripura Board exams 2018 for class 12th students would now start from March 8 instead of the earlier date of March 5, 2018. The schedule for Class 10th board examinations 2018 for Tripura Board remains the same.
The examinations have been rescheduled to avoid a clash with the assembly elections in the state. As per the schedule released by the Election Commission, Tripura goes to poll on February 18 and the results for all the 60 constituencies will be declared on March 3.
According to the sources, the officials said that the entire selection process may extend well till March 5. That is why the decision to postpone the Class XII board examinations were suggested.
In a report, TBSE president Mihir Kanti Deb has stated that “The Class XII examinations, which were scheduled to begin on March 5, will now commence on March 8 in view of the upcoming elections."
Talking about the schedule of the class 10th board exams, he said, "The Class X exams will begin on March 6, as scheduled earlier.”
It has been speculated that around 27,000 candidates will be appearing for TBSE Class 12th examinations 2018 and nearly 55,000 students will sit for Class 10th examinations 2018 examinations.
