Tamil Nadu Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan has informed that the Tamil Nadu Public Exams, TN Class 12 results will be declared only after the students who are yet to take the exams appear for the same. The State education minister has also informed that the online classes for the government schools will begin after July 13, 2020. The announcement was made while the education minister was talking to the media in Gobichettipalayam.
While speaking to the reporters, the minister said that 34,482 students have not attended the examinations which were scheduled to be conducted on March 24, 2020, due to the lockdown. Out of these 718 students have submitted letters expressing their willingness to appear for the examinations. He also added that the Chief Minister will announce the dates for the examinations for the students. The results of the class 12 examinations are expected to be declared four days after the conduct of the remaining exams for the students.
The Madras High Court has earlier asked the state government to come up with a policy on the online classes or call them off in the schools across the state. The education minister stated that the government is making efforts to telecast the classes on 5 television channels from private players and it would be implemented as soon as the books are delivered to the students.
He also added that each district has 5 to 6 students who have not attended their quarterly exams or half-yearly exams and once they get to know the complete number of students, the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswani will decide on the online classes. The classes will begin as soon as the books and bags have been delivered to the students. He also pointed out that the old syllabus will be implemented in the state including 4 subjects and 2 languages.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
