According to media reports, the Tripura Board of Secondary Education has decided to postpone the Tripura Board class 10 and 12 pending examinations. According to the reports released, the pending exams were scheduled to begin from June 5, 2020, but have been postponed due to the extension of the COVID-19 lockdown across the country.
Reports suggest that this is the second time that the Tripura Board of Secondary Education has postponed the class 10 and 12 board examinations due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the pending class 10 and 12 Tripura Board exams were scheduled to be conducted from June 5 to 11, 2020.
Tripura Board of Secondary Education President Bhabatosh Saha addressed the media stating that the board was supposed to conduct the pending examinations from June 5, 2020, but have postponed the same due to the extension of the lockdown, before the first lockdown announcement was made, the class 10 board exams for the new course syllabus were completed except for a few subjects of class 10 and 12 old syllabus. The board president has however emphasized that a new schedule for the remaining examinations is yet to be set.
As per data available, approximately, 27, 142 candidates enrolled for the class 12 examinations from which 8,749 candidates were to appear for the pending examinations.
The pending examinations include Sanskrit, Statistics, Psychology, Arabic, Music, Geography, Home Management, and Home Nursing and Nutrition.
With respect to the class 10 examinations only 309 from a total of 39, 917 candidates were to appear for the pending examinations. The class 10 pending examinations include Physical Science and Life Science.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
