Tripura to reopen Schools from 1st June: As part of the preliminary preparations for the reopening of Schools based in Tripura state from 1st June; the state government has distributed over 26.88 lakh text books among the students so far. Earlier last week, the state government announced that it plans to reopening of schools across Tripura state starting from 1st June 2020 and resume academic activities from 15th June 2020. As part of the preparation process for this, the state government has distributed 26.88 lakh textbooks in different government and government-aided schools. Talking to media person, Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath confirmed that preparations for reopening of schools from 1st June 2020 are in full swing and that all guidelines prescribed by the government would be strictly followed for the same.
According to the statement given by Tripura Education Minister, the state government plans to provide all the students the necessary textbooks that are required by them to resume the academic activities in the classroom from 15th June 2020 onwards. He also added that while textbook for majority of the subjects have been delivered to the students across the state, the pending ones for few subjects will be distributed among the students in the coming days. He also added that as part of the initiative, a total of 25,37,107 textbooks in different schools till the elementary level have been distributed to so far. In addition to this, around 1.51 lakh textbooks of Class 9 were also distributed among students recently.
With schools slated to reopen from 1st June 2020 – next week, the Tripura Education Department has intensified its efforts to provide a safe and secure learning environment to the school students who would be re-joining schools after COVID-19 crisis. Premises of all the schools that are based in the state will be sanitized thoroughly before the reopening of school. In the same way, schools have been asked to ensure that all guidelines and precautions related to COVID-19 must be implemented by them in letter and spirit to ensure health and well-being of the students.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
