The Telangana State Government has cancelled the TS Inter Supplementary Examination 2020 and will be promoting the students who have appeared for the second year examinations instead. The decision to cancel the second year intermediate public advanced supplementary exams were taken keeping in mind the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic across the state.
According to data available, approximately 1.47 lakh students failed the TC Inter examinations. These students have now been promoted without them appearing for the supplementary examinations.
The Telangana State Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy while speaking to the media said that with the prevailing situation, the Chief Minister of the state has decided to do away with the supplementary exams or the second year intermediate students. She further added that the students will be considered as passed in their TS Inter Supplementary examinations and the same will be reflected in their mark sheets. The students who have appeared for the examinations will be able to collect their mark sheets from their respective colleges after July 31, 2020. Also, the students who have applied for the recounting/re-verification will receive an updated mark sheet in the next 10 days.
The Telangana State Intermediate examination results for the first and second-year students were released on June 18, 2020. As per the data provided, close to 4 lakh students appeared for the second year intermediate examinations out of which 75.15 percent passed the examinations. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown imposed since March 2020, many of the state boards had postponed the class 10 and 12 examinations which were then announced to be conducted in the months of June and July as per the situation in each state.while some of the states have conducted their pending examinations many of them are yet to conduct the exams and declare the results.
The CBSE and ICSE boards had earlier announced that the class 10 and 12 pending examinations will be cancelled and the results will be declared based on an assessment scheme developed for the purpose. \while the ICSE board is expected to declare the class 10 and 12 results today, the CBSE is yet to announce a date for the declaration of class 10 and 12 board examination results.REGISTER FOR RESULTS UPDATES
