UP Board 2020: Board releases COVID-19 guidelines for Class 10 and 2 Improvement and Compartment Exam

UP Board compartment exams

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board has released the guidelines for the class 10 and 12 Compartment and Improvement examinations. According to the dates provided, the examinations are scheduled to be conducted on October 3, 2020, in two shifts. The students who have failed in any subject or wish to improve their marks in class 10 and 12 exams will be eligible to appear for the examination. 

UP Board compartment Exam Admit Card

The UP Board class 10 and 12 compartment exams will be conducted following the guidelines released by the board as precautionary measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. The admit card for the UP Board class 10 and 12 compartment exams are available on the official website of the board. Students appearing for the exams are advised to visit the official website of the board - upmsp.edu.in to download the admit card. As per the details provided on the admit card, the students appearing for the UP Board class 10 and 12 compartment exams are required to report to the examination centres at least 45minutes prior to the examination. 

Exam Centre Precautions

According to the guidelines issued by the board, the UP Board class 10 and 12 compartment exam centre will be sanitized a day before the examination. Students appearing for the exams and the staff members who will be invigilators for the exams are also required to use fresh masks on the day of the exams. The District School Inspector has also been directed to provide masks to the students who do not have masks. 

According to the guidelines released by the Shiksha Parishad, the exams centres have also been asked to make arrangements for sanitizer bottles at the entry gate, exam room and the staff rooms and liquid soaps, paper napkins and water in the washrooms. The seating arrangements for the exams and staggered entry and exit in and out of the exam centre have also been mentioned in the guidelines. Students with any COVID-19 symptom will not be debarred from the exams but will be allowed to appear from a scheduled classroom arranged for such students.

The UP Board class 10 and 12 examination results were released by the board on June 27, 2020, with an overall pass percentage of 83.31 per cent for the UP Board class 10 exams and 74.63 per cent for the class 12 exams.
