The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is one of the most prestigious entrance exams for the students who aspire to study law. It decides the fate of all the students who have dreamed about studying at NLUs.

Merit in the CLAT 2018 Result is sole criteria to get admission in the prestigious 18 National Law Universities and associated institutions. More than 50000 students, each year, compete for admission in NLUs.

The annual CLAT entrance test is conducted by the 18 NLU’s on the rotational basis. Last year, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) Patiala, conducted the CLAT 2017 examination. This year CLAT exam is organized by National University of Advanced Legal Studies.

CLAT Result 2018 Seat Allocation

Around 2432 seats will be allocated based on CLAT Result 2018. Although the final cut off of seats is announced after the official declaration of the result. Out of the total number of seats, around 1480 have been allocated as All-India seats and around 604 seats have been dubbed as state level seats while 258 seats have been assigned as special category seats.

CLAT 2018 Result Date

As per the official calendar, the CLAT 2018 Result is scheduled to be declared on 31st May 2018 along with merit list. The registration process for CLAT 2018 has already started with the issue of admission notification on 1st January 2018. CLAT 2018 online examination will be conducted at the allocated centers, across the country, on 13th May 2018.

The admission process based on the CLAT 2018 merit will commence from the 7th June 2018 after the declaration of CLAT Result 2018.

Save and Download CLAT Result 2018

Students can save the copies of CLAT Result 2018 for further reference. The CLAT Result 2018 score will enable them to apply to the 18 NLUs across the country. They are required to submit the admission application along with the valid CLAT Result 2018 score and counseling fee through the CLAT official website to be considered for admission.

The last date to submit the counseling fees is 8th June – 12th June, 2018 (Friday – Tuesday). The whole admission process will close on 6th July 2018.

Admission will be granted to the students on the basis of merit in CLAT 2018 Result and as per the norms of respective NLUs.

The 18 participating National Law Universities (NLUs) each year on a rotational basis, for short-listing students for the Under-Graduate (UG) / Post-Graduate (PG) Law programmes, conduct Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the only way to secure admission in one of the 18 National law universities, to pursue the most coveted LLB/LLM programmes offered by these NLU and associated institutions.

The admission is granted on the ‘merit-cum-preference’ in accordance with the eligibility and other criteria as laid down by respective NLUs. The participating 18 National Law Universities are listed below:
