The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will be conducting the GUJCET 2018. The examination is conducted for the admissions to Engineering and Pharmacy programmes offered by various institutes in the state of Gujarat.

GUJCET examination is the gateway for the admissions to all Government, Grantin aid and self-financed institutes in Gujarat under Government quota seats and Management quota.

The exam was scrapped few years back but made its comeback in 2018.

The committee has not released the date sheets for the GUJCET 2018. However, the GUJCET 2017 exam was held on May 10. Earlier the offline exam was to be held on May 11, 2017.

In 2017, around 3,300 aspirants scored minus marks in the GUJCET 2017. The reason behind so many students scoring negative marking was the introduction of negative marking scheme.

As many as 1,32,391 candidates appeared for GUJCET 2017. Out of these, 66,473 candidates took the exam in A group(PCM) while 65,542 appeared in the B group(PCB). The remaining set of students opted for both group A and B(PCM and PCB).

GUJCET 2018 Result Declaration Date

The ACPC which conducts the GUJCET 2018 examinations has not given any tentative date for the declaration of the results. The committee is yet to release the date sheets of the examinartion.

If trends from past few years are to be believed, students should expect the GUJCET result 2017 in the month of May. In 2017, the GUJCET result 2017 was declared by the board on May 23. How to download GUJCET 2018 Admit Card?

Admit card is considered as one of the most important documents for the candidates who are appearing GUJCET 2018 examination. In order to download the admit card of GUJCET 2018, the candidates will have to first register on the official website.

After registering, the candidate will be able to login using their registered credentials.

An Overview of Previous GUJCET Results

In 2017, 1,34,186 students had registered for the GSEB GUJCET 2017, out of which 1,32,391 appeared for the exam that was conducted on 11 May, 2017 for admissions to various engineering, medical and pharmacy courses in government and private colleges of Gujarat.

According to the GSEB GUJCET 2017 result, 665 candidates of the "A Group" and 662 candidates of the "B Group" have secured a percentile rank above 99.

In the year 2014, the result for Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2014 was declared on 23rd May. Approximately 40,000 students appeared for the exam and according to the sources majority of the students managed to qualify in the entrance test. It has been thoroughly observed that the number of students taking part in these examinations is increasing year by year. So, we are expecting 60-70,000 students are going to take part in GUJCET 2018 examination.

From the year 2013, Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has decided to make the examination tougher. So, since then, multiple choice questions included as part of the pattern in the examination. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination in the science stream conducted by Gujarat Board are only eligible to participate in GUJCET examination. Candidates are also supposed to appear for class 12th examinations in the science stream and then they are expected to fill a separate application form for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test.

About GSHSEB & GUJCET 2018

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board is also known as GSEB and it is a government of Gujarat body responsible for determining the policy-related, administrative, cognitive, and academic direction the state's higher learning system takes. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board were recognized on 1 May 1960.

The Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2018, popularly known as GUJCET 2018, is conducted by the GSHSEB Board. GUJCET 2018 will test the candidates and shortlist them for admission to engineering, degree and diploma pharmacy courses for non-medical (Group A) and medical (Group B) and both group AB students. The exam would be based upon the third and fourth-semester curriculum followed by the Gujarat Board for Class 12 Board Exams. The multiple choice option based exam would consist of question from chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics.
