As stated above, the CLAT 2019 Result will be declared on time. This year, the CLAT 2019 law entrance exam will take place on 12th May, keeping this timeline time mind; it seems very likely that the NLUO will declare the result in the last week of May, 2019.

Along with declaring the CLAT 2019 Results, the NLUO, Cuttack will also issue the official CLAT 2019 merit list which will consist of the names of the toppers in the law entrance exam. CLAT 2019 merit list will be published separately for both UG and PG exams.

CLAT Result 2019 Seat Allocation

Around 2432 seats will be allocated based on CLAT Result 2019. Although the final cut off of seats is announced after the official declaration of the result. Out of the total number of seats, around 1480 have been allocated as All-India seats and around 604 seats have been dubbed as state level seats while 258 seats have been assigned as special category seats.

Steps to check CLAT 2019 Result online

CLAT 2019 Result will be declared in the last week of May, 2019. CLAT Result will be made available to the candidates who have appeared for the exam on 12th May online on the official website of the exam i.e. www.clat.ac.in. CLAT 2019 Result – Important Information / details to be checked

After checking CLAT 2019 Result, it I important for the candidates to cross-check and verify all the details provided in the CLAT 2019 Scorecard. The CLAT 2019 Result scorecard will contain the following information that needs to be verified by the candidate:

  • Candidate’s Name: Students must verify that their name is mentioned on the scorecard is the same as provided by them on the CLAT application form along with the correct spelling
  • Father’s Name: Students must verify that their father’s name is mentioned on the scorecard along with the correct spelling, as specified in the application form
  • CLAT 2019 Application Number: Verify and Cross-check the CLAT 2019 application number
  • CLAT Roll Number: Ensure that the roll number mentioned on the scorecard is the same as issued to you after completion of application form
  • Law Programme: Check the programme / course for which the scorecard is valid i.e. undergraduate / postgraduate
  • Category: Ensure that right category is mentioned on the CLAT scorecard i.e. General, SC / ST / OBC
  • CLAT Score: This is the overall CLAT 2019 score secured by you in the examination
  • CLAT AIR: This is the rank obtained by the candidate in CLAT 2019
  • CLAT CR: This is the category rank obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam
  • NRI Rank: This is the rank secured by candidates who have applied under NRI quota

CLAT 2019 Result – Tie-breaker Formula

In case of two candidates securing the same number of marks, the following formula will be used for tie-breaker to prepare the CLAT 2019 merit list and cutoffs.

Formula for UG Programmes

  • For candidates securing equal marks in CLAT Result 2019; candidate with higher marks in Legal Aptitude section will be ranked higher
  • For candidates securing equal marks in CLAT 2019 Result and Legal Aptitude section; candidate with older age will be ranked higher
  • For candidates securing equal marks in CLAT 2019 Result, legal aptitude section and of the same age; tie will be broken through computerized draw of lots

CLAT 2019 Counselling Process

CLAT 2019 Result will be declared in the last week of May 2019. After the declaration of CLAT Result, candidates will be called in to participate in the CLAT 2019 counselling process. NLUO, Cuttack will conduct the online centralized counselling process for CLAT 2019. Candidates will have to lock their preferred choice for the institute by paying the requisite fees. CLAT 2019 applicants must note that only those candidates who have featured in the CLAT 2019 merit list will be called in for the online counselling process. Generally, NLUs allot seats to the candidates on the basis of their CLAT 2019 AIR i.e. All India Rank. After being allotted a seat, candidates will have to report at the respective university and pay the fees in order to lock their seat.

About CLAT 2019

The 18 participating National Law Universities (NLUs) each year on a rotational basis, for short-listing students for the Under-Graduate (UG) / Post-Graduate (PG) Law programmes, conduct Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the only way to secure admission in one of the 18 National law universities, to pursue the most coveted LLB/LLM programmes offered by these NLU and associated institutions.

The admission is granted on the ‘merit-cum-preference’ in accordance with the eligibility and other criteria as laid down by respective NLUs. The participating 18 National Law Universities are listed below:
