The National Testing Agency declared the CMAT 2019 result on 6th February. The result of CMAT 2019 was declared on the official website of NTA i.e. ntacmat.nic.in. The CMAT 2019 merit list was also released along with CMAT result 2019. Candidates who appeared in the CMAT 2019 were able to check their CMAT 2019 result. To check the result of CMAT 2019, candidates were required to enter their application number and password/date of birth. CMAT is a national level entrance test conducted for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes.

This Common Management Entrance Test was previously administered by AICTE but from 2019 onwards, the administration was officially taken over by NTA. The CMAT exam 2019 will open doors for the candidates who are seeking admission in various management programmes like PGDM, MBA and similar, PGCM & Executive PGDM programmes. The candidates who appeared for the CMAT examination 2019 must note that the scores will be accepted by all the AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges for admission. CMAT 2019 Result Date

The result of CMAT 2019 was declared on 6th February. The CMAT 2019 result scorecard was also released simultaneously. The examination of CMAT 2019 was held on 29th January this year. The CMAT 2019 result was typically declared within two weeks of the commencement of the examination. CMAT 2019 Result: Contents

The scorecard released along with CMAT result 2019 contains the following information. The scorecard of CMAT 2019 is valid for MBA admission 2019 during entire academic session

  • CMAT 2019 application number, date and slot of exam
  • Overall raw score and percentile score of CMAT 2019
  • CMAT 2019 sectional raw score and sectional percentile score

CMAT Result 2019 – Score Calculation

The Common Management Admission Test 2019 examination was held on 28th January 2019 in online mode. The duration for the examination was three hours. A total of 100 multiple choice type questions were asked from: Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. The CMAT 2019 question paper was of 400 marks. The score calculation method used to determine CMAT 2019 result is provided below.

  • Maximum Total Marks are 400 for 100 questions
  • +4 marks awarded for the each correct answer
  • -1 mark penalty for each wrong answer
  • 0 mark for no answer

CMAT 2019 Score Card: Percentile calculation

The percentile obtained in CMAT result 2019is calculated using the formula:
Percentile P = ( (N- your rank)/ N) x 100 (Where P is percentile and N is total number of candidates appeared for exam).

CMAT Result 2019 Merit List

A merit list of students qualifying in the CMAT exam was also released along with the CMAT result 2019.

CMAT 2019 Merit list consists of all the candidates who appeared in the exam in slot-1 or slot-2 on January 28, 2019. The merit list of CMAT 2019 contains the names of the candidates without sectional cut offs placing all the candidates rank-wise. In case, scores are same for two or more candidates in CMAT 2019 result, the ranking is done on the basis of sectional scores considered in the following order.

  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Language Comprehension
  • General Awareness
  • If more than one candidate secures same ranking after the above mentioned process, then in that case same rank is assigned to all of them but is displayed by sorting their names alphabetically.
  • The Rank of the subsequent candidate is then extended by the number of additional students having the same Rank. For example if 3 students are at 26th Rank then subsequent student will be ranked as 29th.

After CMAT 2019 result

The counselling process for CMAT will follow after the declaration of CMAT 2019 result and merit list. The candidates can appear in the counselling organized by various institutions and universities on the basis of NTA CMAT result 2019. Candidates have to bring the required documents and fees at the time of counselling. Seats will be provided to students on the basis of CMAT scores, filled choices and availability of seats.

Candidates included in the CMAT 2019 merit list are required to proceed towards the counselling process which requires them to register on the official website and give their preference for college and course. The steps involved in CMAT Counselling 2019 are:

CMAT Result 2019: Selection Procedure

After NTA declares the CMAT 2019 result, candidates are required to apply to the participating institutes of CMAT. The preferred participating Institute/s will then further proceed with the selection procedure of CMAT which comprises three main selection rounds, namely,

  • Group Discussion (GD)/Written Ability Test (WAT)
  • Personal Interview (PI) 

CMAT Result 2019 Cut off

The cut off of CMAT result 2019 is the minimum scores candidates are required to obtain in order to fetch admission into the participating institutes across India. The CMAT 2019 cut off score will be released by the respective participating institutes after the processes of counselling and seat allotment are over.
