The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) is all set to declare the HBSE Class 10th Results 2018 and HBSE Class 12th Results 2018 in May. As per the HBSE Date Sheet 2018, the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will begin from March 7 and conclude on April 3. The exams for both HBSE Class 10 and 12 will start with the English paper. The HBSE Secondary and HBSE Senior Secondary Certificate examinations will be held in a single session from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM on the exam days.

The Haryana Board Class 10th exams will commence from 8th March 2018 and conclude on 31st March 2018, while the Class 12th Board exams will start from 7th March 2018 and finish on 3rd April 2018.

Haryana Board Result Previous Year Statistics

Out of 3.88 lakh students who participated in the Haryana Board 10th examination 2017, only 50.49 percent were able to qualify for the Haryana Board 10th Result 2017. The boys outshine girls of HBSE this time as the girls scored a cumulative passing percentage of 46.52 and boys managed a better passing percentage of 55.30 percent.

The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani conducted the Haryana Senior Secondary exams 2017 or In HBSE 12th Exam from 7 March, 2017 to 8 April, 2017. The HBSE result of class 12th was published on 18th May.  2.12 lakh students had registered for Class 12 exams out of which 92655 were girl students and 119626 were boys. Continuing the trends, girls have outshone boys in the HBSE 12th Results 2017 with an overall passing percentage of 73.44% compared to 57.58% of boys. Overall 64.50% students passed the senior secondary examination, which was slightly better than the last year’s 62.40%. A total of 73.44 per cent girl students qualified for higher education as compared to 57.58 per cent boys. In 2017, the schools in rural areas performed better with a pass percentage of 64.67 while the pass percentage in the urban areas is 58.79. Government schools beat the private school with a pass percentage of 62.23 as compared to the 62 per cent of the private schools.

About Board of School Education Haryana

The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani was established in the year 1969. The board conducted its first examination at the Secondary Level in the year 1970 and Higher Secondary in the year 1976. The board to improve the education standard in the state adopted the 10+2 pattern of education as per the new national education scheme starting from 1987. To fulfill the need for vocational education, the board started conducting the vocational examination at intermediate level starting from the year 1990.  The Board of School Education Haryana for the convenience of students who are unable to pursue regular education classes has established Haryana Open School.

In 1969, the Haryana Board of School Education was established at Chandigarh. The Board started working with a staff of 100 officials allocated from Punjab University, Chandigarh.

In 1970, HBSE conducted its first examination of Matric-level.

In 1976, HBSE started conducting Middle school leaving examination (8th class).

In 1981, HBSE was shifted to Bhiwani. In the year 1987, Board started conducting 10+2 examination and later in 1990 also started conducting the vocational examination.

In 1987, HBSE adopted 10+2 pattern of education and conducted XII class examination under the new scheme.

In 1990, HBSE started conducting 10+2 Vocational Education examination.

In 1994, HBSE established Haryana Open School to increase its reach.

In 2006, HBSE adopted the semester system from session 2006-2007. It is the first Educational Board in India to do so and also the first Board to introduce relative grading, CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) in all board classes i.e. Middle, Matric (Secondary or High School) and Senior Secondary School (Higher Secondary).
