Xavier's Aptitude Test or XAT is the second most popular MBA entrance exam in India after CAT. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2018 was held on Sunday, January 7, 2018. According to latest media reports XLRI Jamshedpur will announce the XAT 2018 result on February 11, 2018 in online mode only. XLRI and other institutes who are part of XAT will announce the list of candidates for next rounds of selection process after the declaration of XAT result.

The XAT 2018 result will be announced at their official website i.e. xatonline.in. Candidates waiting for their XAT 2018 result can check the result by entering their login credentials given on the admit card. The result of XAT 2018 will be announced in the form of score card that will have the section-wise, overall scores and percentiles. The scorecard of XAT result 2018 will be available for download after the official declaration of XAT result 2018 by XLRI Jamshedpur. The institute will also send the hard copy of XAT scorecard at the registered address of the candidates.

XAT is national-level management aptitude test which is conducted every year by Xavier School of Management, Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) – Jamshedpur on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XAT Exam Centres

XAT exam 2018 will held on January 7th, 2018 at the following centres. Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Surat, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Furthermore, Dubai and Kathmandu will be the two international exam centres.

Declaration of XAT result 2018

XAT Result 2018 will be announced on February 11th, 2018. The cut off is yet to announce. If you want to check the XAT Result 2018 and download the score card, you are required to enter their registration number, date of birth and a security text.

Important Details about XAT 2018 Result

Below, we have listed down some key details about the upcoming XAT 2018 Result:

Your XAT score will be considered for admission to both, part time and full time MBA programs.

Both, overall and sectional cutoff has been decided and will be applied for short listing the candidates for GD/PI and other admission rounds.

XAT score in 2018 will remain valid for a year only.

All candidates who clear XAT 2018 and meet the cutoff will proceed towards subsequent selection rounds- GD/PI.

XAT scores will be accepted by over 155 B-schools across India. The participating institutes can be classified into two types, Xavier Associate Management Institutes (XAMI) and non-XAMI. Last year, the number of XAMI was 11 and the non-XAMI was 145.

Access XAT Score card 2018

The XAT 2018 scorecard is now availble. You can access your XAT 2018 score card from February 11th 2018. XAT Result 2018 will be declared in the form of a scorecard online but the scorecard will also be sent by post to the candidates on their registered postal address.

The sectional as well as total percentage and percentile achieved by the candidates in all the sections is going to be displayed on the scorecard. You are required to login to their respective student login using XAT registration number, Date of Birth and security text for viewing and checking the scorecard.

XAT Cutoff 2018

XLRI will announce the official XAT result 2018 on February 11 2018. XAT 2018 cutoff lists the minimum marks required to be the candidate gets shortlisted for GD/PI. The XAT cutoff will be announced individually for HRM, BM and GMP courses. On the basis of this cutoff and XAT 2018 score, the Institute will give a call to the shortlisted candidates for further rounds of admission.

After XAT result 2018 Declaration

XLRI is going to release the list of candidates shortlisted for GD/PI rounds soon. All the shortlisted candidates will then be required to choose and update the city for the interview and also submit certain documents. You will have to book your interview slots and upload self profile assessment & video.

Interview at XLRI is going to be conducted in the month of February & March 2018. On the basis of XAT result 2018 score, you are supposed to apply to participating colleges that are accepting your XAT score.

Each college decides its own XAT cutoff and follows a selection process. Usually, admission rounds comprise of Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and/or Essay Writing/Written Ability Test (WAT).

XAT 2018 Syllabus and Exam

XAT Syllabus contains questions from Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, General Knowledge and a question on Essay Writing.

The exam has two papers and the syllabus for XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is different for both the papers. Although there is no official XAT Syllabus that is declared by XLRI, it is generally based on past years’ pattern.

XAT 2018 is going to be an online or computer based test of 210 minutes duration. Until last year it used to be an offline paper. XAT is divided into two parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is completely objective, while paper 2 is a combination of objective and subjective questions.

There are three sections in Paper 1 - Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Decision Making and Verbal & Logical Ability. The number of sections in Paper 2 is two - General Knowledge and Essay Writing.

There are 72 objective type questions in Paper 1 and 25 objective type questions in Paper 2 and one essay writing question.

XAT 2017 is a national level MBA entrance exam using which students are admitted to different management colleges and MBA / PDGM courses across the country.
